Focus: Mental Health
Wrapping Our Heads Around Mental Health in America?

With confounding, compounding challenges and stressors like a years-long pandemic, far too many mass shootings and an uncertain economy, it’s no wonder mental health continues to be a hot topic in America. One study, the 2021 State of Mental Health in America report, reveals that 47.1 million Americans, or 19% of our entire population, are currently living with a mental health condition. It’s a serious issue, and all too often, there’s a lack of discussion and available resources to help alleviate our growing problem. November is actually home to a pair of “mental health holidays” — National Stress Awareness Day on the third and Chicken Soup for the Soul Day on the 12th. Join us as we take a closer look at this month’s featured topic.
