Comorbidities may be critically important but underappreciated in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). Investigators recently found evidence that HFpEF patients tend to have an increased burden of specific comorbidities that, by themselves, are associated with increased morbidity and mortality.
